NL West Leader, Zito to DL, Sanchez Done!
The San Francisco Giants have a losing record since Carlos Beltran has put on the Orange and Black.
The Giants have lost 4 in a row and are now clinging to a 1-game lead in the NL West. It’s no time to panic Giants fans as we still have 9 games left of our 10 game homestand. Did I forget to mention the next 2 games are against the Diamondbacks? Win those 2 games and the G-Men are back to a 3 game lead in the NL West.
Barry Zito has been placed on the DL with a fake injury to make room for Jonathan Sanchez to be added to the roster. Sanchez will get the start Friday against the Phillies.
Freddy Sanchez is having season ending surgery tomorrow (Wednesday) on his right shoulder.

The San Francisco Giants have managed to win another series in this early season. We did lose two series this year and they were on our horible road trip to LA and San Diego. Ever since then the Giants have been playing some great ball. Our starting pitching has been close to perfect. Barry Zito is off to his best start ever! SF Giants 2010 Opener
Opening Day has come and gone. The Giants are currently on pace to win 162 games. That will more than likely not happen, because we do have Barry Zito pitching about 29 of those games. Which means the Giants will probably go 133-29 this year. I’m only kidding….
The Giants looked great last night in the opener. Tim Lincecum was awesome and shined like a bright star in space. I’m just messing around with the star comment, but he did look really good. He went 7 strong innings and only allowed 4 hits. He didn’t give up any runs or walks. His velocity was around 92-95mph, so that quiet down some of the Lincecum haters that said he wasn’t going to be the same pitcher.
I have more insights on the SF Giants Rumors – 2010 Season Opener Recap. Check it out and leave your comments there. You can see how Mark DeRosa and Aubrey Huff did in their Giants debut.

SF Giants Rumors – Zito Has Rust, Posey Back on a Bus
The Giants have three more games to go before they season starts. Last night Barry Zito got lit up by his former team the Oakland Athletics. I didn’t care if the Giants won or lost. The only thing I wanted out of that game was for Zito to pitch a decent game. Now that he got rocked. I’m sure his head isn’t right, and he won’t be as confident as he takes the mound in Houston.
Buster Posey is more than likely to start the season in Fresno. It hasn’t been announced as of yet, but he would lose a lot of AB’s at the start of the season if he made the 25 man roster. The Posey era is on hold for now.

SF Giants Update!
Hey what’s going on Giants fans (or just baseball fans)? The Giants are off to a pretty good start in Spring Training. I know, I know it’s only spring games. They don’t count, but I say we start printing the World Series tickets now! I’m only kidding!!
The few available roster spots are keeping the Giants players focused. Some players have got back into the mix like Kevin Frandsen. He’s back in the mix, because Emmanuel Burriss went down with an injury.
John Bowker is another guy that is trying to show he belongs in the Big Leagues. He done nothing but tear it up in the minor leagues. He just seems to have a brain fart in the pro’s. Like he’s forgot how to hit the ball. He does how some power that the Giants need, so if he can get the bat going. There should be no denying Bowker.
I also have updates on more players from the Giants Camp. Just visit SF Giants Rumors for all the latest SF Giants Rumors. There is even a recent post on how much money Pablo Sandoval and Barry Zito made last year. The kicker to that story is how much they really should have made based off their numbers!
